English DJ Jamie xx is returning with a new single. Tomorrow, April 12, he will release "Let's Do It Again."
“I had a lot of fun trying this one out at festivals last year. You might recognise it...” he wrote on Instagram over the weekend. “LET’S DO IT AGAIN is out on Tuesday.”
Jamie's last studio album was 2015's In Colour, which was nominated for the Best Dance/Electronic Album Grammy. In 2020, he released his first single in 5 years, "Idontknow." Additionally, he was credited on Tyler, the Creator's 2021 album Call Me If You Get Lost as a co-producer on the track "RISE!"
Jamie xx is also known for his work in the indie rock band the xx. Recently, Jamie xx produced his bandmate Oliver Sim's first two solo singles: "Romance With A Memory" and "Fruit."
The xx’s most recent studio album, I See You, came out in January 2017. Back in December, the band shared footage of themselves working together in what appeared to be a rehearsal or recording space. Additionally, the xx announced details of a new monthly show on Apple Music 1, called Interludes Radio.
In other Jamie xx news, the artist has been promoting a show alongside Four Tet and Floating Points that will be taking place in September at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. More info and tickets can be found here.
