Janet Jackson Preps 2023 Tour

Janet Jackson's first concert trek since 2019 will be kicking off next spring. The singer has announced a 2023 tour of North America.

The Together Again Tour will begin in April and continue into June. Jackson's last tour was the 30th anniversary celebration of Rhythm Nation 1814. Jackson had also been scheduled to go on tour in 2020, but those concerts were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ludacris will be the opening act for Jackson's upcoming shows. She'll start the tour on April 14 at Florida's Hard Rock Live Arena and will hit 22 states before concluding on June 21 in Seattle, Washington. While her longwinded video announcement is short on details (but big on hellos to countries tuning in), Jackson has promised “there will be new music” on the tour.

Pre-sale for tickets will begin on December 13 on Ticketmaster, and general admission will start on December 16 according to Jackson's website.

The singer has been more visible in recent months than she has in many years, with an appearance inducting longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in a ceremony held in Los Angeles last month. Two documentaries about her life have premiered recently: Hulu and FX's 2021 film Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson, and this year's JANET. Jackson's latest album, Unbreakable, arrived in 2015. She reissued The Velvet Rope earlier this year.
