John Prine, Roberta Flack, Iggy Pop, & More Named Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients

The Recording Academy has named their 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, which include country artist John Prine, pop-rock group Chicago, singer Roberta Flack, soul music revolutionary Isaac Hayes, the "Godfather of Punk" Iggy Pop, rap group Public Enemy, and gospel singer Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

The honorees will be celebrated on April 18 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA during a special award presentation and concert.

Each year, the Recording Academy honors "a select group of visionaries whose creative contributions have rippled throughout our culture."

Previous honorees include Emmylou Harris (2018), Linda Ronstadt (2016), Kris Kristofferson (2014), Elvis Presley (1971), Bing Crosby (1963), and more.
