Legendary rock band Journey have announced a farewell tour. The trek will start with an extensive 60-show first leg in North America that will take up most of 2026. Appropriately, the outing has been dubbed the “Final Frontier Tour.”
The tour officially begins February 28th in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and currently runs all the way through a July 2nd show in Laredo, Texas. The outing will include stops in Pittsburgh, Montreal, Memphis, Lexington, Kansas City, Austin, Tampa, Atlantic City, Knoxville, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and dozens of other cities.

According to Consequence, a press release and accompanying tour poster both note the tour is being billed as “A Special Evening With,” meaning there will likely be no opening act. The band promises to perform all their biggest hits, including “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Any Way You Want It,” and “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” as part of a celebration of “legacy, love and the fans who made it all possible.”
Founding guitarist Neal Schon stated, “This tour is our heartfelt thank-you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way - through every song, every era, every high and low. We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production - the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.”
Added keyboardist Jonathan Cain: “It’s been an incredible ride. We’ve shared our music with millions and this tour is about gratitude, connection, and one last chance to feel that magic together. We wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Schon (the last remaining original member of Journey) and Cain will be joined by lead singer Arnel Pineda, keyboardist-vocalist Jason Derlatka, drummer-vocalist Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen. Back in October, there was some confusion that Cain might have stepped away from Journey for his continued ministry work. However, Neal Schon later clarified on X that he would embark on one more tour with the band.
Various pre-sales for the tour, including one for Citi card members, are set to start Tuesday, November 11th at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster, with a general ticket on-sale following on Friday, November 14th at 10 a.m. local time. You can find more information about dates on Journey's website.
Journey was founded in San Francisco back in 1973 by former members of Santana, the Steve Miller Band, and Frumious Bandersnatch. The group has put out 15 studio albums, and had their biggest commercial success between 1978 and 1987, when Steve Perry was lead vocalist. In 2017, the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2022, "Don't Stop Believin'" was added to the National Recording Registry for preservation.
