Katy Perry Named Highest Paid Woman in Music for 2018

Forbes recently named Katy Perry as 2018's highest paid woman in music. Between June 2017 and June 2018, Perry earned $83 million.

During that time period, Perry grossed more than $1 million per night on her 80-date world tour for her fifth album "Witness." Additionally, she earned more than $20 million for her work on American Idol.

Katy Perry was ninth on the list in 2017. Last year's highest paid woman in music was Beyonce, who is now third on the list ($60 million). In second place this year is Taylor Swift ($80 million), who was in third place on 2017's list.
