Keith Richards' 'Main Offender' to Be Reissued for 30th Anniversary

Keith Richards is reissuing his second solo album, Main Offender, to mark its 30th anniversary.

Originally released in October 1992, Main Offender saw contributions from X-Pensive Winos, made up of drummer Steve Jordan, guitarist Waddy Wachtel, bassist Charley Drayton, keyboard player Ivan Neville, singer Sarah Dash, and backing vocalists Bernard Fowler and Babi Floy. Main Offender served as the follow-up to the Rolling Stones guitarist’s debut solo LP, 1988’s Talk Is Cheap.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary, Main Offender will be reissued on March 18 via BMG. It will be released in a number of different formats, including as a deluxe box set, two-CD set, and on vinyl. Aside from the remastered Main Offender, the reissue will include previously unreleased recordings from Richards’ 1992 Winos Live In London show, which took place at the Town & Country Club in Kentish Town, London.

The box set will come with an 88-page book with never-before-seen photos, reproductions of handwritten lyrics, reprinted essays from the album’s release, and an archival envelope containing exact replicas of promo and tour materials from Richards’ archive.

For the reissue, Main Offender was remastered under the supervision of original producer Steve Jordan, who also mixed and produced the bonus live album. Ahead of the upcoming reissue, Richards has shared a live version of "How I Wish" alongside an accompanying lyric video. You can pre-order the reissue here.
