Featured Spotlight Station: Class C Radio

Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is Class C Radio! We spoke with Garry J about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!

What brought you to Live365?

We came to Live365 after we received an invitation after StreamLicensing went out of business.

What's your studio like?

Our studio consists of a Dell computer using Windows 10 with RadioDJ and a B.U.T.T. encoder. We also have 2 Behringer mixers with a MXL dynamic mic on a Neewer mic stand. I do use AutoDJ several times a month to update Windows and to service my playout software.

What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?

Well that's hard to say...listeners can expect a little bit of everything. Basically, I love all types of music, so what you hear is what I like to listen to. My musical likes are tremendous and constantly growing. Everyday I discover a new track from an old artist that I haven't heard in years, so I add it to my library, which is in excess of 5K songs.

What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?

My favorite part is communicating with other Live365 broadcasters as well as others in internet radio. I also enjoy interacting with content providers on the web.

What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?

My favorite group is Earth, Wind & Fire and I saw them in concert in South Korea back in the early 90s. I had a backstage pass, so I was able to meet the members, including the great Maurice White.

What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to?

Off the top of my head, it would have to be Prince.

We asked for some of the station's favorite songs. Here's what they had to say!
