Magnolia Pictures has released the first trailer for the new documentary on frontman of the Pogues Shane MacGowan.
Entitled Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds With Shane MacGowan, the film explores the life and career of MacGowan through archival footage as well as animation by Ralph Steadman.
According to a press release, "the documentary details Shane’s explosive existence from his early days growing up in Ireland, to time spent on the mean streets of London and embracing the punk scene, to forming The Pogues."
The documentary was directed by Julien Temple and produced by Temple, Johnny Depp, Stephen Deuters, and Stephen Malit.
Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds With Shane MacGowan will screen for one night only on Dec. 1 before being released on-demand on Dec. 4.
