The Normani music drought is finally over. At long last, the former Fifth Harmony singer has announced her debut solo album, Dopamine.

The only detail we have about the record so far is the album cover: Normani has shared a photo showing her straddling a black rocket. Other than that, no release date for the project has been shared. However, we do know the album is coming this year via RCA Records; Normani posted a photo to Instagram showing a blanked out release date, while only "24" was visible.
The announcement comes after the artist cleared her Instagram page on Tuesday (February 20). Since August 2019, Normani has released a long string of singles. She released her first true solo single, “Motivation,” that year, and she’s since shared songs including “Diamonds,” “Bad to You,” “Wild Side,” “Fair,” and “New to You.” She also featured in Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar’s “Family Ties” music video.
Normani got her start with Fifth Harmony in 2012, and she featured on all three of the girl group’s LPs: 2015’s Reflection, 2016’s 7/27, and 2017’s Fifth Harmony. The pop singer released the Khalid collaboration “Love Lies” – her first single without the band – on Valentine’s Day in 2018. The next month, Fifth Harmony announced an indefinite hiatus.
