Olivia Rodrigo Teases New Music on Second Anniversary of 'Drivers License'

It's finally been two years since Olivia Rodrigo captivated the world with her hit "Drivers License," and now the young musician is teasing new music.

On the anniversary of "Drivers License" (January 8), Rodrigo shared a brief clip to Instagram that showed her and Sour producer Dan Nigro rocking out to a mysterious piano track – giving fans a small taste of what's to come. Hilariously, the two headbang to the melody while the notes sound somber and sad. “working on so many new songs I’m excited to show u! thank u for everything,” she wrote to her fans on her Instagram Story.

In November, fans got an early hint that Rodrigo was working on new music when the singer sent a special video message out via Spotify Wrapped. She thanked fans for listening and said, “I really, truly couldn’t be more grateful and I’m so excited for next year, and all of the new things and new music that 2023 will bring."

Upon its release, Sour shot to #1, spending five weeks total atop the Hot 200 chart in 2021. It featured the #1 singles “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U." Rodrigo also won the Grammys last year for Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
