While getting ready for her hometown concert in Philadelphia, pop princess Sabrina Carpenter and stylist Jared Ellner showed Vogue the flashy looks they created for the Short n' Sweet tour. Those looks have been shared in a new YouTube video posted by the fashion magazine brand on Monday, October 21.
In the Nina Ljetl-directed video, Sabrina breaks down the inspiration behind all of the outfits she wears during her Short n' Sweet concerts. Her and Jared Ellner explain how they mined the past for inspiration, incorporating babydoll dresses reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot and 1960s fashion, Marilyn Monroe-inspired catsuits, and ABBA-esque skirts. (Sabrina mentions pulling inspiration from the ABBA Voyage hologram show for one look.)

Carpenter also shows off a special Phillies jersey look custom-made for her hometown gig. "We have a few shows where it feels like the (sports) teams are a really, really big part of that state and like, really important to them. I just always love to show love to those teams," she says.
Carpenter's show, which emulates everything from a morning bath to a date-night evening, unfolds over the course of a fictional day. The outfit changes in three acts feature designs from Victoria’s Secret, Patou, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin. The wardrobe plays alongside the concert's central concept, evolving as time unfurls.
Sabrina Carpenter's tour is still ongoing, and you can snag remaining tickets here. After finishing up the North American leg of her tour in California November 18, she'll be moving her Short n' Sweet experience overseas to Europe.
