St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) pulls off a seventies-style heist in the music video for her newest single, "Down."
"Down" will appear on the tracklist of her upcoming album, Daddy's Home. In the video for "Down," St. Vincent throws her beverage on a wall, sneaks into a bedroom, and steals a file from a cabinet - all in an attempt to take down an abuser.
The grainy, celluloid footage was co-directed by St. Vincent and Bill Benz. The new song follows the previously released singles “Pay Your Way in Pain” and “The Melting of the Sun.” St. Vincent played both songs during her Saturday Night Live appearance on April 3.
Daddy's Home will be released May 14 via Loma Vista. You can pre-order it here.
