Watch the New Clip From A&E's Dolly Parton Documentary 'Biography: Dolly'

Ahead of the premiere of A&E's upcoming documentary on Dolly Parton, Biography: Dolly, they've released a new clip from the special, which premiered on Billboard.

Biography: Dolly follows Dolly Parton’s journey from childhood and her early days in Nashville to superstardom and her recent 50th anniversary celebration at The Grand Ole Opry.

In the new clip, Lady Antebellum and Lily Tomlin praise Parton for her talent and contribution to music, in particular "9 to 5." Hillary Scott says, “A song like ‘9 to 5,’ everyone could relate to. And from a woman’s standpoint, a lot of those lyrics are hitting on some hot buttons that we’re still talking about today.”

Regarding the film 9 to 5 and Parton's role, Tomlin says, “She was a big musical star and now a movie audience, with a huge hit as 9 to 5 was, just makes her better. A queen, an empress.”

Biography: Dolly premieres on Sunday, April 12 at 8pm ET on A&E.
