Watch ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’ Teaser Trailer

Last year, Hulu announced that they had ordered a limited biopic series entitled Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Now, the first look at the series is available.

With a tagline that reads, “Born in Shaolin, Made in America,” the trailer introduces most of the members with a closeup introduction. RZA, Raekwon, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and Inspectah Deck all appear in the first trailer. Other members U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna do not appear in the trailer, but their characters will appear in the series.

Currently, the announced cast for the show is: Ashton Sanders as Bobby Diggs (RZA), Joey Bada$$ as Inspectah Deck, Dave East as Method Man, Siddiq Saunderson as Dennis Coles (Ghostface Killah), Shameik Moore as Sha Rader, Marcus Callender as Power Grant, Zolee Griggs as Shurrie, Erika Alexander as Linda, Julian Elijah Martinez as Divine, and Vincent Pastore as Larry.

Written and co-created by RZA and screenwriter Alex Tse, the 10-episode series follows young RZA and the other founders in creating the influential rap crew during the 90s on Staten Island. Method Man is also credited as a producer on the series.

Wu-Tang: An American Saga premieres Sept. 4 on Hulu.
