Yusuf/Cat Stevens is set to release a re-recorded version of Tea for the Tillerman in honor of the album's 50th anniversary.
Entitled Tea for the Tillerman², the new version will include all 11 of the original songs, but some tracks will be updated to better reflect how he feels in 2020. In particular, “Wild World” and “Longer Boats” were reworked, with rapper Brother Ali now appearing on “Longer Boats.”
Tea for the Tillerman² is due out Sep. 18 and comes with updated artwork. The album is available for preorder here.
