The 36th Annual VMAs air live from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ tonight (Monday, Aug. 26, 2019) at 8pm ET/PT on MTV and MTV's website.
With comedian Sebastian Maniscalco hosting, the night will be star-studded and filled with performances by some of the biggest names in music. Presenters include Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness, Billy Ray Cyrus, John Travolta, Lenny Kravitz, Rick Ross, Salt-N-Pepa, Ice-T, Bebe Rexha, Hailee Steinfeld, Keke Palmer, French Montana, Megan Thee Stallion, Alex Morgan, Ali Krieger, and Ashlyn Harris from the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, Olympic athlete Lindsey Vonn, NHL star P.K. Subban, and ESPN analyst Victor Cruz.
As for performances, Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Bad Bunny, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, J Balvin, Rosalia, Big Sean and A$AP Ferg, Ozuna, H.E.R., Normani, Fetty Wap, Naughty by Nature, Queen Latifah, Redman, and Wyclef Jean will all hit the stage.
Missy Elliott will also perform a medley of hits as she is being honored with the Video Vanguard Award.
In addition, a new special award will be given out tonight. Marc Jacobs will receive the first-ever MTV Fashion Trailblazer Award.
Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift lead the night with 10 nominations each. Best new artist nominees Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X follow with nine and eight nominations, respectively. Check out all of the nominees below.
