BTS' V Preps Solo Mixtape

A member of BTS is getting ready to make his solo debut! If you're part of the ARMY, there's no need to fear...he's not leaving the group anytime soon. During a recent Q&A, V indicated that his debut solo mixtape will arrive at some point in 2022.

The K-pop singer (real name: Kim Taehyung) was answering questions on Korean media platform Weverse when he told a fan he will “release it [solo music] within the year,” according to a translation by Koreaboo. Fans have been anticipating V's solo music since he revealed plans in a May 2021 Rolling Stone interview.

Over the last few months, the singer has been teasing solo music on social media. However, during the Weverse chat, V revealed that no previously-teased songs will appear on his upcoming mixtape. “All the songs I uploaded are not going on the mixtape, I deleted them after uploading it,” he explained.

While a specific release date has not been announced for V's debut mixtape, he still has plenty in the works with BTS. V is currently preparing for BTS’ run of concerts in Las Vegas as they continue their Permission to Dance On Stage tour. The group is also gearing up to perform at the 2022 Grammys, which will take place April 3 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.
