Center Stage on Live365: USA Dance Mix

Center Stage on Live365 this week is USA Dance Mix - "All Dance, All Decades, All The Time!" We spoke with station manager Gregg about their history with radio, their station's programming, and we got some music recommendations. Check out the interview below!

What made you get started in radio?

I've always liked music and really got into it when I went to college.

What brought you to Live365?

The old StreamLicensing platform folded.

What's your favorite part about running your own radio station?

The count of how many are tuned in. I can see if a song is popular or not.

Tell us about your station's programming. What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?

We use a daily schedule that is tweaked so as to give each day a slightly different sound. Our format is the past 40 years, so we created a 70's Show (Sun. Nights, 2 hours) to play tracks over 40 years old. Before that is an 80's Show (Sun. Nights, 2 hours) featuring only 80s' tracks. See our schedule under the "Now Playing" widget at this link.

Name one artist that you play on your station that is underrated in your opinion.

Block & Crown - This is the alias of Luca Debonaire and he is like an energizer bunny putting out probably 100 tracks a year! They don't all make our playlist but usually at least 10 do.

What's your favorite music memory/moment?

Paying $3 to see Madonna perform tracks from her debut CD at a local club. About 300 peeps were there and she was 15 feet away!

Please list your top 5 or 10 songs.

These are all classics:
