Dates Announced for The Who's "Movin' On!" Symphonic Tour

The Who announced dates for their "Movin' On!" tour which kicks off on May 7 in Grand Rapids, MI and ends on Oct. 23 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Local orchestras from each city will join the rockers each night of the tour.

Roger Daltrey assured fans, "Just because it's The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on."

In addition to local orchestras, Pete Townshend and Daltrey will be accompanied by the same band they've been using in recent years. This includes Simon Townshend on guitar, Loren Gold on keys, Jon Button on bass, and Zak Starkey on drums.

Although this isn't being billed as a farewell tour, Daltrey indicated that this could be his last one. "I'm just being realistic about going through the 75th year of my life. I have to be realistic that this is the age I am and voices start to go after a while. I don't want to be not as good as I was two years ago."

The Who plan on releasing their first album of new tunes since 2006's "Endless Wire."
