Def Leppard Prep 'The Early Years 79-81' Box Set

Def Leppard officially have a new five-disc box set on the way that compiles their first two LPs, On Through the Night and High ‘N’ Dry, as well as live recordings, outtakes, and more.

Executive-produced by frontman Joe Elliott and mastered by their longtime sound engineer Ronan McHugh, The Early Years 79-81 will be available as remastered single-CD editions, and vinyl editions on either black or limited-edition colored LPs.

“Well, the fans asked, and we listened,” Elliott said in a statement. “It’s been a trip putting this box set together and I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we did working on it!”

Also included in the set will be a history of the band’s first two albums written by music writer Paul Elliott.

The Early Years 79-81 comes out March 20.
