Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, & More Receive iHeartRadio Titanium Awards

On Tuesday (Aug. 17), iHeartMedia presented the iHeartRadio Titanium Awards to four 2020 smash hits that reached 1 billion total audience spins across iHeartRadio stations. Those four songs were "Levitating" by Dua Lipa, "Positions" by Ariana Grande, "Go Crazy" by Chris Brown and Young Thug, and "Mood" by 24kGoldn featuring Iann Dior.

All four songs also reached the top three positions on the Billboard Hot 100. "Mood" logged eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 throughout 2020 and 2021. Meanwhile, “Positions” debuted at No. 1 in November 2020, “Levitating” reached No. 2, and “Go Crazy” peaked at No. 3.

Lipa receives a special honor according to iHeart, since her 1 billion total spins includes both her solo version of "Levitating" and the remix featuring DaBaby. The remix alone doesn’t meet the criteria.

Lipa, Grande, Chris Brown, Young Thug, 24kGoldn, and Iann Dior are the first Titanium Award recipients announced in 2021. Post Malone and Shawn Mendes were the top Titanium Award winners in 2020, taking three awards each.

Additionally, Grande, Lipa, Drake, Harry Styles, Jonas Brothers, Khalid, Lewis Capaldi, Lizzo, Roddy Ricch, and The Weeknd each had two Titanium wins in 2020. Grande received a Titanium Award last year for "thank u, next" and "7 rings," while Lipa snagged the award for "Don't Start Now" and "Break My Heart." Brown also received an award for "No Guidance."

According to iHeartRadio, other 2020 winners included Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Dan + Shay, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Selena Gomez, SHAED, and Travis Scott.

The total audience spins calculation is based on Mediabase airplay and is multiplied by the number of persons listening to the radio at the time of those plays, delivering total audience impressions, which iHeart regards as the broadcast equivalent of the number of streams from a streaming service.
