Elton John now has his own official U.K. coin. John is the first solo artist and second British act, following Queen, to be honored with a commemorative coin as part of The Royal Mint’s "Music Legends" series.
The coin, designed by Bradley Morgan Johnson and available as gold, silver, and non-precious metal, features John's famous music-note glasses and straw boater's hat.
“It really is a fabulous honor to be recognized in this way,” John said in a statement. “The last few years have contained some of the most memorable moments of my career, and this is another truly humbling milestone on my journey.”
