Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is Wayback Radio! We spoke with Bryan Hall about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
The ease of starting up and coverage of licensing fees are what brought us here.
What's your studio like?
Our studio includes Sam Broadcaster PRO, an Electro-Voice RE20 microphone, and a huge collection of music!
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
Anyone that tunes in can expect a trip through time to the roots of rock 'n' roll, including the sound of vintage top 40 radio!
What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
I love connecting with listeners online and sharing a mutual love of music.
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
Paul McCartney, twice in my hometown, because he's a living legend!!
What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to see?
Elton John - I had planned to see him in this last year, but the concert was cancelled due to COVID :(
We asked for some of their favorite songs. Here's what they had to say!
A Day in the Life - The Beatles
A modern masterpiece!
Stand By Me - Ben E. King
A favorite since childhood, definitely a part of the "soundtrack of my life."
I Only Have Eyes for You - The Flamingos
My wife and I have considered this to be "our song" ever since a local DJ played it for us on the night of our senior prom.
Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum
A song of spiritual significance, and an all-around cool-sounding record!
Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
Hearing this song on the radio as a kid made me fall in love with music and rock 'n' roll radio. I'm proud to run a station that spotlights the roots of rock!
