The Goo Goo Dolls recently collaborated with FanTracks Digital on two livestreams, the augmented-reality movie musical It’s Christmas All Over and the concert film Grounded With the Goo Goo Dolls. Now, those livestreams will be showing at drive-in movie theaters around the U.S. via the Encore Live drive-in theater network.
The two films are now showing on select dates and screenings will run through January. Some of the theaters include: Transit Drive-In, Lockport, NY; Big Sky Drive In, Midland, TX; Auto Drive In, Greenwood, SC; and Blue Fox Drive In, Oak Harbor, WA.
“It’s fantastic that with this collaboration with Encore Live, we can bring people together safely to get the big-screen experience of our two Goo Goo Dolls productions, the groundbreaking AR movie musical ‘It’s Christmas All Over’ and the ‘Grounded with the Goo Goo Dolls’ concert film,” said Barry Summers, FanTracks Digital co-founder. “Because we shoot our live streams in 4k resolution with 24 bit HQ Audio we are ready for big-screen opportunities, and it’s a thrill to bring our ‘show on the road’ thanks to Encore Live’s drive-in theater network.
