Gorillaz Prep 2022 North American Tour

Later this year, English virtual band Gorillaz will embark on a North American tour, following their international dates taking place this summer.

The 21-date arena tour will see Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn joined by a 14-piece live band as well as to-be-announced guest performers. It will kick off in September in Vancouver, and wrap up in Miami near the end of October. Stops will include Las Vegas, Denver, Austin, Chicago, Montreal, Philadelphia, Orlando, and more. EarthGang will open all shows through October 19, and Jungle will provide support on the final two dates in Florida.

The tour will support the band's latest album, 2020's Song Machine Season One: Strange Timez, as well as the 2021 EP Meanwhile. Since 2018’s The Now Now, Gorillaz have largely rolled out new music via the Song Machine series. The aforementioned "Season One" album gathers the star-studded singles from the series.

In other news, the band recently reissued 2001’s Gorillaz to celebrate the debut album's 20th anniversary, and published a coffee table art book via Z2 Comics. Also, before bringing out Hayley Williams during her second Coachella set, Billie Eilish covered the group’s 2005 hit “Feel Good Inc.” during her first headlining set. She brought out Albarn and De La Soul’s Pos to join her during the song.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale Friday, May 20 at 10am local time. More information, including specific tour dates, can be found here.
