Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia will be honored with "Daze Between," a nine-day livestream event marking the 25th anniversary of his death.
Spanning from Garcia's birthday (Aug. 1) to the day he died (Aug. 9), the event will feature musical performances and storytelling, including performances from Grateful Dead, Dead and Company, Bob Weir and the Campfire Band, and more. There will also be a screening of the 2012 concert film Move Me Brightly.
Outside of the livestream, there will be an online auction of Grateful Dead memorabilia, such as a guitar signed by Bob Weir, copies of Jay Blakesberg’s books of photography, and a complete set of Jerry Garcia-inspired posters by Chuck Sperry.
The event will be hosted by the Rex Foundation and the Jerry Garcia Family, and proceeds will benefit the Rex Foundation. "Daze Between" will stream across a number of platforms. For more info, including the schedule, see the event's website.
