John Lennon Commemorative Stamp Issued by U.S. Postal Service

On Friday, September 7, a U.S. postage stamp commemorating John Lennon was unveiled at a ceremony in Central Park. Yoko Ono and Lennon's son, Sean Lennon, were in attendance.

Lennon had his own personal collection of stamps that he started as a child. The collection has been displayed at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum as well as the World Stamp Show in New York City.

The postage stamp features the iconic photo of Lennon at the Walls and Bridges photoshoot in 1974 by photographer Bob Gruen. Also, Lennon's stamp is designed to look like a 45″ vinyl single.

The John Lennon commemorative stamp is available to order through USPS.
