The featured Media Creek, Inc. team member for the month of July is Ionut Sarghi, one of our spectacular Solutions Specialists! Media Creek, Inc. is comprised of Live365, EmpireStreaming, and Abovecast.
Ionut has always been passionate about music and technology, and in the internet radio industry, he found the perfect combination of the two. Since 2016, he has been working on different audio and video streaming projects with the main goal of developing himself and helping the awesome community of online broadcasters that he has the chance to interact with. In his spare time, he loves playing computer games, hanging out with friends, and watching technology-related content on YouTube.
Hi Ionut! Firstly, tell us about what all you do for Media Creek.
My main role is assisting Live365 broadcasters with issues and solutions, and providing information about licensing and ensuring their station is following our guidelines for being legally compliant. I also spend a lot of time investigating and verifying possible bugs and issues with our software and escalating them to the appropriate team.
Besides this, I’ve been involved in our Knowledge Base project, creating new help articles about our product and keeping them up to date.
So, in your opinion, what's the best part about working for Media Creek?
The best part is definitely the people and the teamwork that we put in together towards our goal, to deliver the world’s audio. Also, in my first interactions with Media Creek, I was pretty amazed at how organized things are around the company and that at any hour on any given day, you can rely on the support of someone on the team.
Although it's a tough question, if you had to pick just ONE music genre to listen to for the rest of your life, what would that be?
Yes it’s hard to pick, because I enjoy most of the genres, but if I had to only listen to one genre for the rest of my life I would stick with hip hop.
Who is your all-time favorite band/artist then?
I really don’t have one all-time favorite. I listen to music based on my mood and for me, this implies very different genres and artists. I was born and raised in Romania and I listen to some Romanian artists that I like a lot: Smiley, Nane, Puya, Killa Fonic, and Inna. Internationally, I recently fell in love with Roddy Ricch’s flow and beats.
What's your favorite song by Roddy Ricch?
Definitely "The Box" off of his latest album Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial.
Do you have your own Live365 station, perhaps a hip hop station?
I do, it’s called OnlyOnes Radio. It has a good mix of genres though. My apologies if it's ever broken as I usually run different kinds of tests on it.
Overall, what's your favorite station on Live365?
I like to tune in to KRAZY Queue. They feature a wide variety of music from the past 7 decades, including pop, rock, country, jazz, standards, classical, alternative, and R&B!
