Justin Bieber is putting his health first. Yesterday (September 7) it was announced that the Canadian pop singer had cancelled the remaining dates of his world tour in support of Justice, which was slated to run until March 2023.
“After getting off stage [at Rock in Rio], the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now,” Bieber wrote in a statement posted to his Instagram. He has not yet indicated whether the shows will be rescheduled.
In June, Bieber called off several North American dates of the Justice tour, revealing that he was unable to perform due to facial paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome. He then announced on July 19 that the tour would resume. It picked back up at the Lucca Festival in Italy on July 31. Bieber was then slated to perform at a string of European festivals and continue to South America, South Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand through the end of the year.
Since releasing Justice last March, Bieber has shared the gospel-inspired EP Freedom, made a guest appearance on Omah Lay’s “Attention,” and recruited Don Toliver for the new single “Honest.”
