Singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves has shared a cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” as part of a stop-motion animation film from Chipotle called A Future Begins.
The film focuses on the struggles of the U.S. farming industry and was made to support the next generation of farmers. Musgrave's cover plays throughout the entire video. The short is billed as a sequel to the Mexican grill chain’s 2013 film Back to the Start, in which Willie Nelson covered Coldplay’s “The Scientist.”
Musgraves is still reeling off the success from her fifth studio album, Star-Crossed, which she released in September. Although the Recording Academy ruled it ineligible for the Best Country Album Grammy last month, it debuted at #1 on the U.S. Top Country Albums chart, becoming Musgraves' fourth album to do so.
In other news, Musgraves is one of several musical guests that will appear on the newest season of Sesame Street. She had previously appeared on The Not-Too-Late Show With Elmo and will join other artists like Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste, Anderson .Paak, and more for the show's 52nd season. Musgraves' episode is set to air on HBO Max and PBS Kids December 2.
