After months of teasing her Little Monsters, Lady Gaga has finally given a formal announcement of her seventh studio album.
The upcoming record is called Mayhem and due out March 7. Following the release of her hit "Disease" back in October 2024, a new single from the album will debut Sunday, February 2. A music video for the song will premiere during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

In a press release, Gaga said the album, “started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” likening the process to “reassembling a shattered mirror: Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.” Lady Gaga executive-produced the album alongside Michael Polansky (her fiancé) and Andrew Watt. Individual producers include Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein.
Speculation about the Chromatica follow-up picked up last September, when Gaga revealed during promotion for Joker: Folie à Deux a new original LP would be out February 2025. (Close enough!) She followed the news with the release of “Disease” and a series of teasers – including a Times Square billboard and a countdown clock on her website that ended with the announcement. Her summer 2024 Bruno Mars collaboration, “Die With a Smile,” is also set to feature on the new album.
Speaking about her new album to Vogue, Gaga said, “There’s a lot of pain associated with this adventure, and when I start to explore that pain it can bring out another side to my artistry. When I’m here at this studio, I’m relaxed and I am able to face my demons and what’s remarkable is...that’s the music. I’m able to hear it back.”
As for other Gaga news, she lined up a headline slot at this year’s Coachella. She's also set to perform at the FireAid concert that will benefit those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. You can pre-order your copy of Mayhem here.
