Lil Nas X is going on his first tour: an autumn trek in support of his debut album, Montero.
The North American leg of the Long Live Montero Tour will take place in September and October, with stops in Toronto, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more. The "Industry Baby" musician will then play a string of shows in Europe and the U.K. in November.
In true Lil Nas X fashion, the artist released a dramatic, cinematic, and funny trailer in anticipation for the tour. "Hello, I am Montero, and I welcome you to my event: the Long Live Montero Tour," Lil Nas X says in a voiceover. "My world, my universe. Everyone's allowed...except gay people," he jokes (Lil Nas X himself is gay and advocates for LGBTQ+ rights).
In other Lil Nas X news, the singer recently performed a medley of Montero songs at the 2022 GRAMMYs, where he was also up for five awards. He released Montero back in September 2021, which features the platinum singles “That’s What I Want,” “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” and “Industry Baby.”
