Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is Chicago's Variety Station! We spoke with Jimmy Knight about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
Years of radio experience and we have soooooo much music and sooooo little time!
What's your studio like?
Within our studio, we use StationPlaylist and Stereo Tool.
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
Listeners can expect the best variety of the 80s, 90s, 2K, & today! Unlike FM radio, they have a very large library- well over 2,000 songs! They offer up a mix of 80s pop, 90s dance, boy bands from 2K, and a splash of today’s hits.
What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
I've enjoyed building out the programming and production as well as growing an audience.
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
Bon Jovi. We got to go onstage for 3 songs and rock out with the band!
What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to see?
