Live365 to Take Part in Amplify Music 2021

Live365 is set to take part in Amplify Music 2021, the virtual music conference set for April 21-23.

Amplify Music aims to bring together diverse music leaders and creators to learn and share from local artists, venues, creative communities, and support networks to address the challenges and lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. At this year's event, the focus will be on 2021 and beyond, discussing what these shifts and challenges bring to music communities and how the crisis has pushed change and transformation in cities and countries around the world.

Live365 will be taking part in Amplify Music 2021 as a collaborating organization, and VP of Operations Justin Ruoff will moderate a session. Over 45 organizations and more than 100 speakers are set to participate in this year's event.

Justin Ruoff will moderate the session "How Artists Make Money in 2021/2022," taking place Thursday, April 22 at 2:25-2:55pm ET. He will be joined by: Co-Founder of Label Logic Jay Gilbert, Managing Partner at Creative Law Network Dave Ratner, Bandzoogle CEO Stacey Bedford, and Wade Metzler, Senior Director of Label, Artists, & Publishing Relations at SoundExchange. The session description reads:

"How are artists making money in 2021? How do they piece together digital streams, virtual events, creating for synch, building/rebuilding relationships, and planning future directions? Who is taking the risk of uncertainty in future concerts happening and at what density? This panel will share its observations about how artists actually are making money in the current environment."

Other topics that will be covered throughout the conference include music technologies for livestreaming and gaming, the future of live music, mental health in music, and the future of local music communities.
