Live365's 2nd Annual North Pole Live Holiday Song Tournament WINNER

Live365's 2nd Annual North Pole Live Holiday Song Tournament is officially over!

The results are in and the winner of the tournament and the Best Holiday Song is...

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee

"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" was written by prolific Christmas songwriter Johnny Marks ("Holly Jolly Christmas," "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Run Rudolph Run") and recorded by Brenda Lee in 1958, when Lee was just thirteen years old. Since then, the rock and country-influenced Christmas single has been recorded by other artists time and time again. The song has sold more than 25 million copies and been downloaded more than one million times. Although the song originally didn't chart until 1960 after Brenda Lee scored a few hits, the song caught on and truly became a Christmas classic.

As for the results, here's the final round broken down:

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee (51%) - WINNER
vs.
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Andy Williams (49%)

There were a ton of close battles, especially this final round! In fact, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee only beat out "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" by Andy Williams by just 1 vote from the Facebook poll! However, despite the close final battle, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" ultimately beat out every song, including "O Come All Ye Faithful" by Nat King Cole and "Merry Christmas Darling" by Carpenters. If you'd like to check out the whole tournament and all the songs "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" beat out, take a look at our official bracket.

We hope that you enjoyed voting and following along with the tournament and stay tuned for the full tournament recap and to find out the prediction bracket winner!
