Hip-hop queen Missy Elliott has announced her first-ever headlining tour, taking place this year. Dubbed Out of this World — The Missy Elliott Experience Tour, the trek will feature Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and her good friend Timbaland.
In a statement, Missy Elliott said, “This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts.’ Being the FIRST female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour.” She continued, “Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family.”

Missy Elliott's arena tour starts on July 4 in Vancouver. Additional stops include in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, Brooklyn, Detroit, and Toronto. The tour then concludes with two shows in Rosemont, Illinois in late August. You can find ticket information here.
And of course, the MTV music video darling couldn't just announce her tour without a visual to go with it. To preview the “Out of this World — The Missy Elliott Experience” tour, Missy, Busta Rhymes, and Ciara all appear in a cosmic promo video, where the three 2000s hitmakers land their spaceship on another planet.
