Nirvana’s ‘Live and Loud’ Performance To Be Released on Vinyl & Streaming Services

On Dec. 13, 1993, Nirvana played their legendary Live and Loud gig at Seattle’s Pier 48 that premiered on MTV’s New Year’s Eve broadcast a few weeks later. After the performance aired on MTV, the full concert film was released as both a standalone video and as part of the In Utero deluxe reissue. Now, that performance will be released on vinyl and streaming services for the first time on Aug. 30 via Universal.

The Live and Loud concert features Cobain, Novoselic, Grohl, and Pat Smear performing 17 songs from the band's discography. Broken into two LPs, the vinyl release will include a replica backstage pass, which also acts as a pass to download Live and Loud.

Live and Loud is available to preorder now.
