*NSYNC to Make Return With First New Song in Over 20 Years

Looks like *NSYNC haven't said "Bye Bye Bye" just yet! The late 90s/early 2000s boy band recently reunited at the 2023 VMAs, and have now announced they will be releasing their first new song in over 20 years.

The pop group made the track “Better Place” for the new animated movie Trolls Band Together. You can hear a snippet of the track at the end of the film's trailer, and there's another teaser available on TikTok.  The song will be properly released  Friday, September 29. Trolls Band Together co-stars Justin Timberlake as Branch and hits theaters on Friday, November 17.

Releasing a song for the Trolls franchise feels like a great place for *NSYNC to make their comeback, considering the musical power Timberlake has within the series. Trolls Band Together is the third installment in the Trolls franchise. “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” a song Justin Timberlake wrote for the original 2016 film, ended up debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won the singer a Grammy. The second Trolls movie, 2020’s Trolls World Tour, featured more Timberlake originals, including the Anderson .Paak collaboration “Don’t Slack” and the SZA collaboration “The Other Side.”

*NSYNC released their fourth and final album, Celebrity, in 2001. The following year, Timberlake released his solo debut, Justified. Before this week’s reunion, *NSYNC last got back together at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013 to celebrate Timberlake’s Video Vanguard Award.
