The featured Media Creek, Inc. team member for the month of October is Adrian Arsene, one of our awesome Solutions Specialists! Media Creek, Inc. is comprised of Live365, EmpireStreaming, and Abovecast.
Adrian had his first interaction with a streaming service during his college days in 2001 while setting up his first radio streaming server on the local network to share it on the entire campus. Since then, he has been working on different streaming projects, both audio and video, and is passionate about system architecture, infrastructure, and virtualization. In his spare time, he likes to do a variety of things, including reading or watching tutorials as well as building different system setups to improve his skills and learn about new technology. He also enjoys spending some relaxing time in nature with his family.
So, Adrian, what all do you do for Media Creek?
As a Solutions Specialist, I primarily assist our clients on all three of our brands with information, setups, and best practices to run a compliant radio station. For the most part, this means spending time debugging and trying to replicate any station scenario to give the appropriate solution for it and deliver the best broadcasting experience possible.
With that said, in your opinion, what's the best part about working for Media Creek?
I am kind of new to the team, but I can say it is amazing to work with everyone at Media Creek. I learn new things everyday here! We have an awesome and experienced team with truly the best people in the streaming industry.
I know it's a tough question, but if you had to pick just ONE music genre to listen to for the rest of your life, what would that be?
I really think it is a matter of mood and what you are doing while listening to the music. For example, I like electronic music or classical music while working as words won't distract me from what I am doing, but my brain enjoys it. I also enjoy old school hip-hop so it's hard to choose between those genres, but I believe I will stick with hip-hop!
Who is your all-time favorite band/artist?
Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, is my favorite artist. I am very impressed by his life and career, especially since he was the first hip-hop artist to win an Oscar back in 2002.
What's your favorite song by Eminem?
That's a tough decision, so I guess I need to choose between "Lose Yourself" and "Mockingbird." This time, I'll go with "Mockingbird" because it is still so touching.
Do you have your own Live365 station?
Yes, I have one, but given my role, I usually just break it while testing different setups, CW, relay, scheduled events, etc.
What's your favorite station on Live365?
One of my favorite stations is Retro 8089, I enjoy the mix of genres and songs I grew up with.
