Paul McCartney Preps 2022 U.S. Tour

Paul McCartney has announced his first string of tour dates since 2019, a U.S. trek running from April to mid-June.

“I said at the end of the last tour that I’d see you next time,” McCartney said in a press release. “I said I was going to get back to you. Well, I got back!” Rather appropriately, McCartney's trek is titled the Got Back Tour.

McCartney will play 14 shows, making stops in Seattle, Fort Worth, Orlando, Syracuse, Boston, and more. The tour will visit a mix of stadiums and arenas, with shows in cities that McCartney hasn't played before as well as locations he hasn't visited for 20+ years.

McCartney released his latest album, McCartney III, in 2020. He then enlisted a host of collaborators (Beck, Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Devonté Hynes, Damon Albarn, and others) for a companion LP, McCartney III Imagined, in 2021.

Besides albums, McCartney has been riding off the success of Peter Jackson's critically-acclaimed Get Back documentary, as well as the Hulu series McCartney 3,2,1 - which McCartney stars in alongside American record producer Rick Rubin.

You can find tickets for McCartney's tour here. The American Express pre-sale is currently happening now. American Express Card Members have first access to tickets from now through February 24 at 10pm local time. The general sale will begin the next day (February 25) at 10am local time.
