Rascal Flatts Announce Farewell Tour

Country trio Rascal Flatts announced today during their appearance on CBS This Morning that they will be embarking on their final tour later this year.

Rascal Flatts, which consists of Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney, and Jay DeMarcus, launched their career in country music 20 years ago. The trio have released 11 studio albums and 37 singles, of which 12 have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The group does plan to release new music in 2020.

“When we started out 20 years ago, we could not imagine all of the people, places and gifts we would encounter,” the group tweeted. “There is no sadness. Just new chapters, new journeys, and new beginnings.”

The tour, dubbed Farewell: Life Is a Highway Tour, will take the trio across North America with 25 currently scheduled dates. They will make stops in Indianapolis, Dallas, Toronto, Boston, San Diego, Denver, Tampa, and more.

The group did note during their appearance that they aren't writing off the idea of touring again some day in the future. “We’re not going to sign some pact that says we’re never going to tour again," said DeMarcus.

Ticket information has yet to be announced.
