Run The Jewels try to survive a Night of the Living Dead-inspired nightmare in the new music video for their RTJ4 song "Never Look Back."
John Hillcoat, who’s previously worked with Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, and Massive Attack, directed the visual. Premiering as part of Adult Swim Festival 2021, the black-and-white video begins with a classic car driving through a graveyard. Elsewhere, we see Run The Jewels – aka El-P and Killer Mike – get out of a separate vehicle as a storm begins to brew.
After a murder occurs in a graveyard, zombies emerge. A female character flees the cemetery while Run The Jewels come face-to-face with the monsters in a nearby house. Greg Nicotero and Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead also make special appearances.
After releasing Run The Jewels 4 last summer, Killer Mike and El-P followed it up with a deluxe edition in September, which features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, What So Not, Royal Blood, and more.
Run The Jewels will embark on a U.K. headline tour next June, which kicks off with a show at the O2 Brixton Academy in London. They’ll also appear at Primavera Sound 2022 in Barcelona. You can find tickets here.
