serpentwithfeet Announces EP & Shares Video 'Down Nuh River'

We previously told you about serpentwithfeet and his latest album, DEACON, on Live365's 10 LGBTQ+ Artists You Should Know in 2021 list. Now, the experimental artist - also known as Josiah Wise - has announced a new EP that will serve as a companion to his last record.

Titled DEACON'S GROVE, the EP is set for release on November 5 via Secretly Canadian. It includes two new songs, a remix, and two reimaginings of album tracks.

Yesterday, serpentwithfeet released one of the new songs as a music video. Titled "Down Nuh River," it's a shadowy murmur with a catchy beat and childlike sing-song hook. The video sees serpent and three other gym-clothed men dancing on bleachers with some cool choreography by Keith Nedd.

“When working on ‘Down Nuh River’ I was thinking of all the songs that me, my friends and cousins made up as kids,” the artist said in a press release. "We had so much fun creating and reinventing songs on the playground and the porch. I wanted to channel that energy in this track.”

DEACON'S GROVE is available to pre-order and pre-save here.
