Jay-Z is an American rapper, entrepreneur, songwriter, and record producer. The NYC rapper started his own record label, Roc-A-Fella Records, in 1995 and released his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, in 1996. His debut was met with widespread critical and commercial success. Jay-Z went on to release 13 solo studio albums, has received 21 Grammy Awards, and he is one of the world's best-selling music artists as well as one of the most acclaimed rappers of all time.

Shaq and Jay-Z have had their fair share of public interactions. They worked together on music in 1996. Jay-Z was featured on Shaq's song, "No Love Lost," which was on Shaq's third studio album. Shaq and Jay-Z have also met on the court. Well, almost. On August 14, 2003, LeBron, Shaq, and Jay-Z were supposed to play against Carmelo, Yao Ming, and Fat Joe at Rucker Park. Unfortunately, the game never happened because a massive blackout shut down New York. Check out a clip about the game below.
