The BIPOC Spotlights: ECHO66FM

As part of "The BIPOC Spotlights," Live365 is shining a spotlight on ECHO66FM! ShoCott shared the station's story as well as some music recommendations with us. Check out their story below!

How did you get started with your station?

I started on air 20 years ago in Abilene, TX, the heart of the Bible Belt which was steeped in racism, as a member of a religious organization. ECHO66FM was created out of the many requests received from listeners all over the world wanting a platform that encourages the spirit and speaks to the heart and soul of people everywhere.

What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?

ECHO66FM seeks to provide recreational healing and deliverance of the mind, body, and soul. We bring you the latest in traditional, contemporary, hip hop, and quartet gospel music. ECHO66FM showcases the local and international new artist while promoting both local and international events via live remote broadcast.

What’s one song that particularly stands out to you and that has stayed with you, whether for the storytelling, a lyric, the production, or any other reason?
