Twisted Sister Tells Australian Politician He Can't Take It

Australian politician Clive Palmer rewrote Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" to promote his bid to re-enter the country's Parliament.

Twisted Sister is threatening to take legal action against the politician, demanding Palmer to quit using his rewrite of the band's classic rock anthem.

During Palmer's rallies, the changed lyrics can be heard: "Australia ain't gonna cop it / No, Australia's not gonna cop it / Aussies not gonna cop it anymore." (Editor's note: that doesn't even fit! The syllables don't match up!)

When a user on Twitter pointed out the reworked song to Dee Snider, he condemned the use of the song and threatened he'll be "down under" in three weeks to "deal with it [himself]."

Palmer dismissed the threats, claiming: "No communication from their lawyers, I own the copyright for my own lyrics." He also added about Snider: "Old rocker who can not sell enough tickets to their last gig need publicity."
