ACM Awards 2019: What to Expect

The 54th Academy of Country Music Awards air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight (Sunday, April 7, 2019) at 8pm ET/delayed PT on CBS.

Reba McEntire is set to host "Country Music's Party of the Year" for the second year in a row. Presenters for the night include Lauren Alaina, Beth Behrs, Clint Black, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jessie James Decker, Hunter Hayes, Jay Hernandez, Lady Antebellum, Midland, Nancy O’Dell, Danica Patrick, Carly Pearce, Dennis Quaid, Michael Ray, Cole Swindell, and Wilmer Valderrama.


Some of the biggest names in country music will perform throughout the night. Here's the full list of performances:

  • Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson: Aldean will be honored with the Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award. He will perform a medley of hits and Clarkson is slated to make an appearance.
  • Dierks Bentley and Brandi Carlile: Bentley and Carlile will sing "Travelin' Light" from Bentley's 2018 album The Mountain.
  • Brooks & Dunn and Luke Combs: Brooks & Dunn will perform the remake of their early-'90s hit "Brand New Man," which features Combs. This performance is part of the ACM Flashbacks series, which honors classic country songs and artists.
  • Kane Brown and Khalid: No details have been revealed, but earlier this year they released a remix of Khalid's song "Saturday Nights."
  • Luke Bryan: Bryan will debut his new single "Knockin' Boots."
  • Eric Church and Ashley McBryde: They'll be performing "The Snake," a song from Church's most recent album Desperate Man.
  • Dan + Shay and Kelly Clarkson: Dan + Shay will be singing "Keeping Score" alongside featured artist Clarkson.
  • Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean: Floride Georgia Line will be bringing out Aldean for "Can't Hide Red."
  • Lanco: Lanco will perform their recently released single "Rival."
  • Little Big Town: Little Big Town will officially premiere their new song "The Daughters."
  • Ashley McBryde: McBryde will sing her current single "Girl Goin' Nowhere."
  • Reba McEntire: McEntire will be singing "Freedom."
  • Chrissy Metz, Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina, Maddie & Tae, and Mickey Guyton: This Is Us star Chrissy Metz will team up with Underwood, Alaina, Maddie & Tae, and Guyton to perform "I'm Standing With You," which Metz sings on the Breakthrough movie soundtrack.
  • Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne: Morris and Brothers Osborne will be performing their collaboration song "All My Favorite People."
  • Old Dominion: Old Dominion are set to perform "Make It Sweet."
  • Thomas Rhett: Rhett will be performing his recently released single "Look What God Gave Her."
  • Blake Shelton: Shelton will debut his new single "God's Country."
  • Chris Stapleton: Stapleton will sing "A Simple Song."
  • George Strait and Miranda Lambert: Strait and Lambert's performance is part of the ACM Flashbacks series. No details have been revealed, but Lambert will also be performing a medley of her own hits.
  • Carrie Underwood: Underwood will be performing "Southbound," a song from her newest album Cry Pretty.
  • Keith Urban: No details have been revealed, but the word is that he'll be performing a brand-new song.

On March 25, a few award winners were announced, including Luke Combs winning New Male Artist of the Year, Lanco winning New Duo or Group of the Year, and Ashley McBryde winning New Female Artist of the Year. Some of the biggest awards of the night include Entertainer of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Check out the nominees for each award below:
