Beach Boys to Release New Box Set of 'Sunflower' & 'Surf's Up' Sessions

An upcoming Beach Boys box set will take a deep dive into sessions and rarities for two of the band’s albums: 1970’s Sunflower and 1971’s Surf’s Up.

To be released July 30, Feel Flows – The Sunflower & Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971 will include offcuts from both albums. There are 135 tracks in total, and the box set will feature newly remastered versions of both albums.

Feel Flows will be available as a five-CD set, vinyl, and digital album. There will be 108 unreleased recordings. These include unreleased songs, live recordings, radio promos, alternate versions and mixes, isolated backing tracks, and a cappella versions.

The set also comes with a 48-page book featuring unreleased and rare photos, lyric sheets, tape box images, recording artifacts, new liner notes by Howie Edelson, and a set of new and archival interviews.

The box set is currently available to pre-order, and one of the band's previously unreleased tunes, "Big Sur," is now available for fans' listening pleasure.
