Celine Dion Announces New North American Tour & Album

Yesterday, during a special live event at the Theater at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, Celine Dion announced her Courage World Tour as well as a new album entitled Courage.

This will be Dion's first tour in 10 years. Starting in Quebec City, QC on Sept. 18, Dion will make her way around North America before wrapping on April 27, 2020 in Winnipeg, MB.

The Courage World Tour will be Dion’s second world tour since launching her Las Vegas residency 17 years ago at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. Her residency will end this summer with her last 16 shows taking place May 14 through June 8.

Regarding the name of the album, Dion said, “I think I went through a lot. And life had given me the tools… to find my inner strength, to find courage, and to keep going.” “The people that I love so much embraced the moments that were difficult. They gave me so much strength. And then a song came that was called “Courage,” and it didn’t take long for all of us to say, ‘I think the album should be called Courage.’”

As for what to expect on the tour, she said, “It’s not gonna be the Las Vegas show. It’s gonna be the songs that I hope that you want to hear. The songs that you used to hear me sing.” “I would like for this tour to be the most spectacular tour.”

Tickets for tour dates through March 13, 2020 go on sale next Friday, April 12 at 10am local time. The ticket onsale time for the remaining dates is to be announced.
