Daft Punk Share New Song 'Motherboard (Drumless Edition)'

Daft Punk may be disbanded, but that isn't stopping them from releasing yet another drumless song from Random Access Memories. The new track, “Motherboard (Drumless Edition),” is a stripped-back version of the 2013 original.

Daft Punk will be releasing an entire drumless version of Random Access Memories on November 17. The lead single was “Within (Drumless Edition).” The new album will follow the recent anniversary edition of Random Access Memories. (The Daft Punk magnum opus turned 10 years old on May 17.)

Before releasing "Motherboard (Drumless Edition)" and "Within (Drumless Edition)", the robots released a track called "The Writing of Fragments of Time" back in March. "Fragments of Time" is also a track from Random Access Memories, and features Tom Edwards.

In related Daft Punk news, Thomas Bangalter released an independent orchestral album called Mythologies back in April. In June 2022, Bangalter was also spotted in a recording studio with Lil Nas X, prompting theories the two made some music together.
